xodusna New Member United States 35 Posts	Posted 08/26/2011 8:14 pm I have this pretty cool looking coin and someone one time told me it was significant with the Lan 5 but other than that had no idea. Thus, Year 5 began in September 1796 and ended in September 1797. It's given in the catalogues as "1796-97". As to mintmark, your coin has mintmark "W", the city of Lille. Your coin is listed on this page, KM# 640.11, I'd grade it Fine - around $10 or so.
