I am not 100% sure I trust the picture but since its in a NTC holder they probably have it graded as MS-67 or 68 but I think its probably about a 65 or maybe a 66 and would really need another picture to be sure either way because lighting can make a coin look allot better than it actually looks in hand. I am running on pure instinct here but I think that there are more marks in that cheek than is represented in the picture

She is very pretty,, but I cant tell if the marks on the cheek, brow and neck are just in the frost or if they have gone below that into the metal,,

assuming that they are just frosting marks MS-65 probably DMPL. If the fields are not that deep then PL.

If the marks affect the Metal then MS-63 same remarks on the DMPL/PL designation.

That is simply a stunning coin. I'll think about the grade later - for now, I just want to stare at her for a while. I will say that, especially on the obverse pic, I see graininess in the fields where they're the brightest that makes me wonder how deep the mirrors actually are.

Hmmm. I dunno about NTC's grade - probably MS67-68. SuperDave's grade is MS66* with a great, but not monster, strike. I've seen better hair details on SF Morgans. I can't comment on mirrors without different pics.

Edit: TypeMaster, for my money, that's the single most beautiful coin you've posted here.

WOW If What I see Is what you got ( By the Photo I would say MS-65- MS66 DMPL/ a beatutiful Frosty CAmeo with irradesant Rainbow toning From the Rim through the fields to the Frosty devices all apear to be equal. the toning seems to highlight the frostiness

WOW! What a beauty.I would guess PCGS would say MS65DMPL,possible MS66 but I think the small rubbed area on the neck would and very light marks on the cheek would keep it from going any higher.NTC would probably grade MS68DMPL.

I don't know about the ntc grade, but the image suggests 65 pl to me. The obverse looks dmpl, with a beautiful cameo, although the fields are tough to grade with the mirrors at this angle. The reverse looks pl.
Cool coin!

Here is a link you may compare pictures of some certified slabbed morgans. I notice they have what looks like one morgan in an older slab by pcgs.
I imagine if you were able to take a photo equivilent to these it would be much easier to grade for some.
The pictures on this site are just spectacular to say the least. A couple have spot glare on the toned side though nice looking.

Thanks for the input guys.

NTC Graded this a MS 66 Dimple! Not to far off, but I only paid about 100$ for it so I didn't get hurt to badly.

Even if I had my collection in a safe-deposit box, this one would have to stay at home with me, just so I could look at it every once in a while.
