I commented in the grading forum. This coin looks like one from that nanc guy on ebay who is a notorious coin doctor. He recolors coins like a machine with some strange mixture of paint or nail polish. Long ago I proved my point buy finding ugly coins he bought on ebay and then reposted some weeks later recolored. Sometimes his little trick fails and he sells some very ugly cleaned coins.....these are coins he harshly cleaned in preparation for his doctoring, but it failed to stick.

I also bought one of his "high grade" coins and removed the colorant in the labs with water, acetone and xylene to reveal a quite normal EF coin underneath.

I forget this guys exact ebay name, but STAY FAR FAR AWAY from him. If you look at his offerings, they ALL look the same.....further substantiating my detective work.

IMHO you can rarely pull a 2011 coin from a Fed roll that looks that nice. It is hard for me to believe that an 80 year old coin could be that flawless.

Thanks for digging that up bio, yea, this is the guy. He is the biggest SCAMMER on ebay and has ruined more Lincolns and ripped-off more people than anyone I know. He has been discussed on other coin forums too. COIN DOCTOR OF THE WORST KIND.

I'd say not cleaned or if it was a long time ago. Of course would be nice to see the reverse but notice the dirt appearance around the lettering. If cleaned, wouldn't be there. The odd color might be the lighting used for the photo. But then again so many here have stated it is a messed up coin, not really sure now. Would like to see the reverse.

that 1922 looks like I see a D on it, the back looks like the week reverse but looks aweful and obviously cleaned and dipped. Over 800 dollars is what someone spent. WOW
I wouldn't pay 10 dollars for it, it has horrible eye appeal
