While the coins do look coated to me (Odd that there are so many coins exactly the same color being sold by this seller) it should be noted for fairness' sake that 20 or so of the negatives are from the same buyer from a single 20 minute span.

Take our word for it. I've known this doctor for years, it's the same old story. He's preying off of the ignorant and stealing peoples money. The only non-recolored coins he sells are one that failed his process. |

meaning the same poor sap must have bought 20 of these garbage coins off him and then realized what big *** mistake he made |

There's a 1910 in listed in the negative feedback where you can really see what he's doing. What a slimebag ... back in the day ebay used to kick people like that off. |

Hmmm, sad for all those Wheats being doctored.... Oh ya, and the buyers too.
I figured something looked fishy just confirms it now that I look at all the other coins with near identical coloring.
Good catch on noticing what this guy is buying.

It probably is, but if you notice, he uses different angles to aid in his deception because in reality, his coins look like crap after being painted. Years ago I posted several before/after coins of his...he's made it tougher by using extreme angles on his pictures to hide the flaws. However, with enough effort, one can trace back his purchase to all of the recolored coins he is selling. |

I think some people might think it's risky, but I'm going to purchase one of this sellers coins and do a full analysis here on CCF. With paypal buyer protection I won't be out much if the seller doesn't honor their 7 day return policy. I'll do comparisons of the sellers pics with my own high res pics side by side. Some of these look like the guy/gal is getting pretty skillful, and I want to help any novice buyers (and myself) have better eye for these things. Not to mention I'm curious how someone could fool 99.7% of their buyers (4500+ people in the past year alone!)  Sorry, can't quite wrap my head around it. Seems they would complain more when the coin arrived. |

After your done with your visual analysis....which will show the recolorization, rinse it with water, actone and then xylene and see what happens. LOL

Nothing at all looks original about this coin. It is definitely cleaned and treated.
