I'm sure most of y'all have seen a Lincoln-Kennedy.

But maybe a Lincoln-Indiana is less common.

Curiosity got me, so I went to find the link between Abraham Lincoln and Indiana.
Found that Lincoln spent 14 years of his youth in Indiana. His family moved there in 1816 to escape land disputes in Kentucky. I guess someone in Indiana, in the 1970s, was somehow motivated to stamp some Cents?

There is a whole series of state stamps on Lincoln Cents. Among other things...

Cool info, jbuck. I had no clue. Seems the lowly Cent has long been 'victimized', LOL.
With the discontinuation of the Cent, I guess the Nickel will take its place.
Somewhere I've got a Lincoln stamped with an ampersand "&", no clue what that was about. I'll post it here if I stumble across it.
But looking a few pages back, I see most posts are about more classical coins.
I carded another Cent I found in roll searching in the 1970s that has an advertising sticker applied. Is that a 'thing' anyone would find interesting?
It seems that at one point in time, some merchants thought that would be a way to promote their business. The one I've got has long ago gone belly up.
Fifty+ years in, and this forum makes me feel like a newbie.

Possibly. I am not sure if there is a group topic, but stickered coins have been posted before.

I guess Ronnie is 79 now, if he's still around.

Nice counterstamp

But 79 is a good guess, assuming that he was 19 when stamping the nickel with that date.
