He just cut the ribbon last year for the obscenely huge brand new 3 billion dollar headquarters for JP Morgan Chase at 270 Park Ave in Manhattan, NYC. 60 stories, 1388 ft tall, 2.5 million square feet and encompassing an entire city block. It can be seen for many miles and dwarfs the nearby skyscrapers. Just another testament to how well the "too big to fail" bankster's are doing while everyone else kicks rocks.

the netherlands has moved billions of dollars in gold out of the US & Canada, citing 'geopolitical tensions' and 'crisis preparedness'

many commenters blame trump, but that's just noise

the house of cards is wobbling

MrPink2018 can you explain what this move by the Netherlands implies and what you mean by the statement "the house of cards is wobbling."

Just trying to understand, thanks.

okay, but this is just my opinion based on anything/everything anyone can read online. I read 4 articles on this same subject... AP, Reuters, al Jazeera and another, I forget which.. oh- Wall Street Journal.

i take it as implying that confidence in the US' ability to follow through on it's obligations is eroding. the dollar is trash. everyone knows it (but no one really wants the music to stop because there aren't enough chairs to go around). the dutch get a better deal with that move. sell some here, buy more elsewhere and keep it elsewhere. you'd have to read several articles to get a clearer picture.

no one really specified what those statements actually alluded to. I take 'geopolitical tensions' as meaning 'You're Fired's belligerent behavior more than anything, and I can understand that if true, but the 'crisis preparedness' part is what struck me the most. 'crisis preparedness'? I see that as a thinly-veiled 'beware'. the big players obviously know what's coming, and I think many ppl here do, too. we are getting a small taste of it now. the real pain has not arrived yet. maybe I'm wrong; I hope I am, but we are in the late innings of the current business cycle. look back 100 years ago for a parallel. the people who think 'that can't happen here' or 'that can't happen again' or 'it's different this time' are the ones who get burnt the worst. it has happened here, it can and probably will happen again and it is not any different this time. it's the same script, same connected people, just different names & faces. keep on stacking, if you can. load up on assets. everything you can get your hands on. and buckle up. 'crisis preparedness'.

that's just my take on it. do your own reading and thinking. I try telling the people who I know here and I get the thousand yard stare, and then they go back to watching Dancing With The Stars. I may as well talk to a rock.

MrPink2018 you're not lying.

Please allow me to put it in a different way.

And this isn't just my opinion. This comes from a Gold and Silver lover, a trader and market historian that I follow closely. Someone with over 40 years in the market. A chartist and technician that analyzes the bejesus out of every single Bubble and Crash that's ever happened, and all the correlations between Gold and Stocks, and between Gold and the Dollar that lead up to these historic events.

Here is exactly what he said last week when he looked at all what's goin on in the market right now.....

i wasn't into coins & metals (or anything else of real substance-- except for maybe substance abuse, but I won't go there, stories for another time & forum), and things were a little different for me then, so I barely noticed the 2007/8/9 debacle, but I've done a lot of reading about it since. my take on the situation is narrow; I don't know everything, and there was a lot of stuff I simply skipped commenting on just for the sake of 'keeping it simple'. and, again, it was just my Two Cents.

i don't want to sound like I'm being a 'doom & gloom'er, but facts are facts and we have to look at them realistically. I'm in the trenches in the labor sector on a small island, but we here live under the same monetary regime & rules & laws as any other place in america; we won't be immune to whatever's coming, the effects of which are already felt, not so much from the coming situation itself, but from the set-up of it... policies that have overloaded the place with [what kissinger referred to as 'useless eaters']. I won't elaborate there, but there are simply not enough quality jobs here to sustain this population. it's difficult right now and it's going to get ugly sooner or later. one financial catastrophe away from bedlam. america seems to average a financial catastrophe every 10-20 years, maybe less than that. what was the last one? covid? 2007/8/9 before that? with 'minor' things in between? with so many underlying problems & the structural integrity of old paint, anything could give at any time for any reason. dig deep enough- or in some cases just scratch the surface- and you'll find human greed, every time.

so.... gold & silver... our lovely hedge, sooner or later will explode to the upside. keep stacking. hodl. I have been reading a book that gives a general reporting of the past hundred years or so of financial events. it's very interesting and it shows a very clear pattern which repeats. again: human greed. over the past 4-5 weeks I've been voraciously reading, finished 10 books in that time with my nose in several others. too much time on my hands lately and I figure I better fill it with something beneficial... so, brain food it is.

So the world is turning to gold backing their currency again and not base on Trust.

mac, I'm glad you bring that up. from all the reading I've been doing these past several weeks, it seems that trust is consistently broken in the lead-up to every financial catastrophe (and then some). you'd think people would get tired of the constant gaslighting. you'd think that everyone would have had enough of the corporate greed & political obfuscations, but apparently not. for every 10 families tossed into the street from their homes a banker in a tower somewhere sips champaign and has a laugh over it.

there are a handful of schemes currently underway for various currencies- actual, digital or crypto- to be backed by gold. whether any of them become something substantial remains to be seen.

as JP Morgan famously stated in testimony to Congress: "Gold is money. Everything else is credit."

and as I told the CEO of First Pink Savings several years ago: "Gold is money. Everything else is just a scheme to relieve you of your gold."

trust? let's review somewhat:

panic of 1873, panic of 1893, panic of 1907, jekyll island, WWI, crash of 1929/depression/gold 'confiscation', WWII, bretton woods, nixon gold window closed 1971, recession, oil shocks, recession (there have been many), hunt brothers, savings & loan debacle, crash of 1987, vatican bank, Enron, LIBOR, dot com bust, 2007-9, LTCM, Black Rock/Vanguard/State Street, Covid....... Great Reset? (numerous other things I have left out)..... trust?

gold and silver are poised for a moonshot. time will tell whether that actually happens. I would rather put my trust in those metals than in the schemes of those who- for their own benefit- consistently lie about money (in order to take yours).

position yourselves accordingly.

(steps down from the soapbox)

If only there were enough gold to back up US currency, let alone the whole world.

No problem MrPink but I'm afraid this guy isn't what you might be expecting. Unless your a chart geek and an active day trader like me.

His name is Tim Knight, he specializes in Technical Analysis, (or to put it in the words of those that aren't well versed in the mechanics of the stock market) he studies multi colored graphs with a bunch of arrows, lines and fancy acronyms. Thousands of them.

So you'd have to sit through hours of boring videos and hundreds of stock charts to get to the stuff I mentioned that you'd be interested in. Which for me is not a problem since I already do that.

But he did put a few of his precious metal 'Ratio' charts at the very end of one of his videos this weekend, comparing equities to precious metals, so you're in luck.

If you'd like to learn more about him go to his About Me on his web page called SlopeOfHope as soon as you search up his name in google all his stuff should come up including his youtube videos.
