Can't be the Irish half penny. It has a harp on the obverse and a family of animals on the reverse. I was thinking along those lines too at first.

1.The National Armada Memorial - Features Britannia who is also on the coin.
2.Alexander Fleming - Most renounced for his discovery of penicillin in 1928.
3.Acts of Union - Act of 1707 joined England and Scotland to form the Great Britain or the United Kingdom.
