The Canadian Golden Jubilee 50 cent piece double dated 1952-2002 is one of my favourite coins. It features the coat of arms, royal cipher and a young crowned Queen Mother. Here is the first one that came up when I looked it up on ebayhttp://www.ebay.ca/itm/Canada-1952-...em1a03fed674 |

Easy, best design is the Saint Gaudens double eagle, the design is shown beautifully in this (modern) 2009 W high relief  |

There are so many coins out there, that are beautiful in their own way, that I think I would be hard pressed to find just one, that I could call the most artistically beautiful.

Although I am a huge fan of the various Walking Liberty designs, I'm going to have to go with this coin as my pick for most beautiful:   [Assuming, of course, you actually consider this a coin and not just bullion. Can you just imagine trying to spend this?] |

For me, the Saint Gaudens Double Eagle is the most beautiful design ever conceived for a coin. I also fancy that Victoria Gothic Crown.
