To be honest, I would sell the intact bag as unsearched (unless you have searched it, of course). The odds of finding anything notable are quite low, but the odds of someone else paying more for the opportunity to search it are much higher. 1964 is not really a year that makes you wanna examine every single coin under a microscope.

Odds are low for a DDR, but could be some nice MS67 or higher examples.

It would take me one weekend to go through them, which I recommend. Look for doubled dies, high grade and any error or variety. Roll the rest and sell as BU rolls from mint bag. I would also collect the bag.

I don't know what the chances are but empty the bag and look for some coin pieces at the bottom.
That used to be a way of finding really strange errors, but today's bagging procedures may have eliminated that.

Could be a 09S VDB in there somewhere.
I used to get those way, way back. Never found anything worth the trouble so I stopped doing that.

I sort while my wife watches television. To each their own.

Other than my "binge" series, without commercials, TV offers little to entice me.

There is also the chance for some nice errors since they are directly from the mint.

I'm pretty sure it is full 1964 Peace dollars hidden in the bottom in an attempt by a mint employee to smuggle them out of the mint.

Since this is an original bag, my guess is that it may be all or none of them that have the DDR, right?

Nope, the output of mulitpule presses were mixed before they got to the counting and bagging steps. If you find one there is a good chance of finding others, but it won't be a full bag.
