Thanks CoinHI! Really neat variety when you think about it. A wide separated RPM and a solid DDO as well! -CH27

A really nice "Wow" coin! An acetone bath, (read all cautions on the container) followed by a distilled water rinse and air dry (never wipe the surfaces) should help arrest the corrosion. I have to start looking at ebay again! I'm jealous!
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

For a major variety coin these can be picked up in less than top MS condition for reasonable prices. Unsure why it doesn't enjoy more popularity than it does, but certainly a rare coin at an affordable price. Nice pick up.

Nice one. I bid on one of these recently and it went out of my price range.

Thanks all! I agree it's a quite cool variety to be so under appreciated. Oh wow, I did hit 5000 posts didn't I? I spend too much time here. Willburton, I also lost out on a couple of these recently. When this variety does come up it usually is priced pretty high. -CH27

I'll have to check some of my 60s again. I never knew this was a thing, I knew of the large and small dates but not l/s. Would have thought it wouldn't be an error coin for sure. But now I know. Cool coin!

Good luck! This variety can be found on the Denver cents and on the proof issues. The Philadelphia strikes do not have any large over small varieties.
