Just finished up hunting some dimes and one of the last coins looks to maybe have some extra thickness doubling on EPU. I have put the images side by side with another 2015-P for comparison.

Nice find! I have 3 2015-P DDRs with this type of doubling, I don't think yours matches any of them: http://www.crdievarieties.com/doku.php?id=ros2015p

Very nice! I'm impressed you were able to catch it. While it is still noticeable, I doubt I would've caught it. (I'm not exactly spectacular with noticing abnormal devices on anything but cents).

Bravo Sam!

I am learning by watching and seeing these posts. Can you tell me, does these errors increase the value of the coin with these found? Is there a site or place for error coins to be sold? Thank you all for your insight and wisdom.

@Tanman looks like maybe a match for SDDR-002? What do you think?

@SilverCents thanks man! I find these easiest to identify by looking at the size and shape of the negative spaces in the devices. The extra thickness can be hard to see, but the loops etc. of the letters being reduced for some reason sticks out to me much more prominently. (Also the distances between letters (especially visible on RIB here)

@riz36 something like this would add little value. Maybe a couple bucks to a serious collector of minor die varieties? Hard sell though, since many serious hunters like to find their own. And I don't know of any sites that specialize in error coins.

Now that I look again, it does seem very close to SDDR-002. I was looking at the photos on my phone yesterday, never realized how blurry my phone screen is until now.

Do you see any of the die markers? There's a number of chips on gouges on my example that should be easy to match.

Sadly I just left town for the week and don't have the coin with me, but I'll definitely check for the die markers after I get back. Thanks for the help!

@Tanman Just got back to town a few days ago and confirmed my coin as SDDR-002. Die cracks at the base of the torch and oak branch are a match as well as the die chip on the nose and one of the cluster of chips in the hair.

Nice!

Those are common places for chips/cracks though, so just make sure they are exact matches.

Congrats Sam and nice side-by-sides for comparison.

And thanks to Tanman for the link and all the time you put into your site.

So far I've not listed this one with a number. It might be a new die? Will adjust it later when we know.
