This popped up on ebay last week for $20 shipped. Figured it was a fair price despite the crud. Looks like a solid AU coin with a lot of luster left on the obverse and likely will use some Verdi-care on it once I get my hands on a bottle. Always liked this variety but had such trouble finding one for a fair price. Hopefully I'll upgrade this sometime soon, it will look quite nice in RB or RD but for now I'm quite happy to own one of these. Thanks for taking a look! -CH27 http://www.varietyvista.com/01b%20L...0DDDO001.htm Collector of U.S. Coins, Varieties, and Colonial Coinage

Yes sir nice find... Until you get the verdicare, I'd acetone and nose oil it. But that's just me

Thanks CoinHI! Really neat variety when you think about it. A wide separated RPM and a solid DDO as well! -CH27

A really nice "Wow" coin! An acetone bath, (read all cautions on the container) followed by a distilled water rinse and air dry (never wipe the surfaces) should help arrest the corrosion. I have to start looking at ebay again! I'm jealous!

For a major variety coin these can be picked up in less than top MS condition for reasonable prices. Unsure why it doesn't enjoy more popularity than it does, but certainly a rare coin at an affordable price. Nice pick up.
