I found this guy crh. It has 2 lams. 1 above Jefferson head and one on his shoulder and the date area. I know this is a rather common error but any mention of it's value is appreciated. The price changes for no reason on ebay.

Well it is a melt value coin. And the lamination is attached. (otherwise it would have fallen off the coin)

I thought so but seeing them listed for $500 made me reconsider. I was guessing $15. Again with how common this is I am not surprised.

Laminations are extremely common on old Jeffersons in general, but especially War Nickels because the new alloy was put into use with very little time for metallurgical testing and calibration to ensure consistency.

Is that an asking price or a sold for price?

Never use asking prices - anyone can ask for anything. Use only sold prices such as the sold auctions on ebay. That is a real indicator what the market value is.

Oldfordman,
LAMS on War Nickels are somewhat common, the more extreme the less common. Yours looks to be a bit above the less common ones.IMHO,$15 seems a bit high. Check ebay sold values for one as close to yours as possible for a real world value. It does look nice.

I find my second one. The lam is half the area of this one. Both are safely in 2x2s.
