Quote: The AE coin is somewhat remarkable I believe it is from Stratonikeia ? So much effort put into erasing Geta from the obverse With the addition of the counterstamp too ! yes I like it alot, its a story within the story, we will se if I can get it, its in a lot with 30 bronzes. Thank you for pointers Thank you Victor, very helpful. Is the mark beneath the top of caduceus silvertesting marks?

Well curiosity got the best of me. I bought the lot for 250 dollars with bp and postage ( alot more than 50 But I can refund if I dont like it. Was alot of other smal bronzes included, I expect them to be common and bad quality. The one at cng sold for 2800 idk know if that includes bp. Will post pics next weck when it arrives

I think it reasonable to think .. You robbed them ! The Caracalla bronze is well worth what you paid That leaves the other 35 coins on the table 'gratis' I seriously doubt you will ever regret this purchase But if you do . Message me !!!!

Positive news thank you. Well even if the counterstamped is in F or G they seem sought after. Its a coin that tells 2 stories. Will post a thread for the rest when I get them. Most of them seem to be late rome and many found in england so most likely corroded. I'm a silverbuff so bronze is new territory. Didnt get the silverones forgot to bidd
