Don't forget the 2015 march of the dunes set. It has 2 dimes and a silver dollar. I believe one dime is a W mint mark and the other is a reverse proof. Set is still fairly affordable.

Very nice! I'm doing the alum again after selling mine off years ago. Mine goes to 2023 and I added a blank page to take it up to 2025 and add the SMS and satin coins. The silver coins sell for at or below melt even in Unc, so it shouldn't be too hard to locate those. Plus they tend to tone pretty in Dansco albums!

At this current time, I am only planning on doing what the album requires. I may at some point add a blank page for extra dimes and oddball things like this, if I can find pages for a reasonable price. Quote: Very nice! Honestly, you should be able to get the latest updated page! They are available I believe. And yes, I've noticed that! One of the reasons I wanted to do a Roosevelt set, even with the silver coins, there are no expensive key date coins. The most expensive coins are probably the silver proofs from 1950-1964, and then the newer ones from 1992 and onward. I believe the older ones are a tad bit more expensive, and I won't be going that route anyways for now, as it's not required in the album.

Quote:However, I used the 50 dollars to purchase some coins... I now have various Roosevelt dimes coming from ebay, as well as my first clad proof Ike dollars.

I just looked into the "March of Dimes" set. Yeah, definitely not buying this. I don't have to have every single Rosie dime made. I'm happy for now just going the album route and what it requires. That's good enough for me. I may at some point buy the satin finish coins. But that's about it.

I'm guessing it was cheaper then, jbuck? Also, there is a spot in the Dansco 8125 for the 96 W dime. Luckily, everywhere I've looked on ebay, it seems to be pretty reasonably priced. And yes, going the album route, is what thrills me. I'm tired of spending loads on coins personally, as fun as that is. It has really put a strain on my finances sometimes. The only way I am spending 100+ dollars now is if the coin happens to be a necessary coin/key date.

Yeah, that's what I'm talkin' about! I'm not really looking forward to when I have to buy the silver proof dimes from 1992-current. But, they still aren't super expensive either. Also, seamonkey, how are you doing on the Roosevelt set? I haven't seen a thread so far posted. If you are so inclined, I might at some point have some extra coins to send you if you can use them.

Quote: I'm not really looking forward to when I have to buy the silver proof dimes from 1992-current. Me either. Not sure if I will get the whole silver proof set since I'm doing the dimes, quarters and half dollars or get then singularly. Either way it will be costly and slow progress. I haven't posted my album yet. I have the silver 46-64 dimes but they are in airtights, haven't decided if I just want to put them in the album yet. I'll have to take pictures and post it soon. I do have a bunch of proof sets I haven't cracked open yet. Kinda waiting for the nickel album so I'll have a place for all of them when I do, otherwise I'd have to put the nickel in a 2x2 which I don't have either

Added four BU silver dimes that came in today. I'm starting to really dig this series. Seamonkey, I was gonna see if there was any dimes you needed, but you are quite a bit further along than I was expecting! I ended up giving them to my buddy at work that I sold my other dime album to.

I'll have to slow down til my finances catch up
