In for the win! Congrats for an excellent find. I've been looking for a cool sequence and haven't found one yet.

Quote: Does the misplaced dollar symbol in the title have a significant meaning? How is that misplaced - I do that a lot when I'm wanting to say "20 dollar bill" instead of writing it all out. "20$ bill". He asked "Is this worth 20$" ? I guess it's like "Penny" vs "Cent".

I believe it's called convention, and is normal among English speaking peoples. Just as the Cent symbol is conventionally placed following the amount. Quote: You should almost always place the dollar sign before the number. If you're referring to major dollar-based countries, this is the conventional choice. It's the one that makes the most sense, and it's the one that most people will understand. https://grammarhow.com/dollar-sign-...re-or-after/

Well I'm "unconventional". Some people go through life doing what they are told to do and others enjoy life doing what they want.

Absolutely a great 20$ bill . How did you come to acquiring it? Sometimes the stories are as good as the found item.

I was taught many years ago that the dollar sign was always placed befor the value numbers: For example, 20 Dollars = $20, not 20$. But that was many years ago. Edit: Woops, just noticed something was written about this above ! Never Mind !
