I will take it to my local coin shop when it gets here to see what he thinks. May keep it or may sell it to him as I feel I got a good price for it. If he says counterfeit it will be returned.

Looks like an AU coin to me.

I see a Peace dollar that did its job and has the scars to prove it. I am leaning towards XF. |

XF45/AU50 there are quite a bit of hits on this coin. I dont think it would go any higher. still a more desirable date

Difficult to say with the posted pics. I'm thinking low-end AU.

The 8 looks a bit suspect to me. Check carefully, it could be an altered 1923.

will see what my coin shop owner thinks when it gets here. If the 8 was once a 3 they did a good job of alteration. Not so sure.

I did look at that yes. Not sure it looks tooled or cleaned in the 8 area and when I look at the E in Liberty it looks like there are lines going to the right from the bottom of the E.

I think there is a lot of scrutiny from people when it comes to key date coins. Understandably so.

I am good with the date as well. From the image* AU - details. I see parallel lines on the cheek, in front of her face and below In God We. May just be the image.

I am on team genuine; reason is, look at vamworld.com, and the 1928 vams. Only three listed, and I believe I see that small die scratch to the right of the B in Liberty which would be VAM #1. I see a low AU as well.  |
