Had a chance to visit a coin shop in Rapid City, SD. today on vacation and held a 500 Oz. Johnson-Matthey silver bar.

Heavy! Never held or seen a 500 ouncer before. Pretty nice shop but small. Prices were pretty much right on and very nice owner

Okay, let me see if I can get it off my phone GO. I have not tried on this phone yet.

That wasn't too difficult
Here he is. Bad picture of me as usual. Silver ALWAYS poses well!

I like that a lot. If I hit the lotto for more than 30 million, I'm buying every person that's been a member longer than me here one.

Thanks a bunch! I'll hold you to that, I have a door that keeps blowing shut and I need a good doorstop.

500 oz = 41.7 lbs. My 3 yr old grandson only weighs 39 lbs.

I've bought and sold 100 oz bars. I thought those were heavy.

Here's the companion piece for that one ... 100 Kilo Gold Maple Leaf

Wow! That is a chunk of silver! They should turn it into a barbell, so wealthy folks can get ripped and save storage space at the same time! :-) Imagine having a safe full of those, you wouldn't even need to bolt it to the floor.

Value - over $9,000.00.

When you convert from Troy ounces it's about 34.25 lbs.
