cwalker New Member Canada 30 Posts	Posted 01/22/2012 2:52 pm So I have 4 silver quarters...a new scale, and some spare time. Decided to weigh the quarters just cause I can. 1-1958 5.75g 2-1964 5.73g 3-1959 5.88g 4-1968 5.87g According to a wikipedia article #1-3 should be %80 silver and have a weight of 5.83 g. #4 Should be 50% silver and only weight 5.05 g. I know the mint has some level of tolerance on there coins....but does that 1968 not seem way to heavy for its metal makeup? I checked and rechecked the weights, shut it off turned it on, even put a dish on the scale, zeroed it out then put the coin on and kept gettin that weight... Is this normal?
