Diocletian - Ric VI Lugdunum 14A

In my recent post on an addition to my collection of a Constantius Chlorus Follis from Lugdunum @victor shared an example of his RIC VI Lugdunum 17a which comes from the group of coins which has come under a variety of discussion over the years. These coins have a similar style to the early issues of Lugdunum but are unmarked. At some point these coins have been assigned to either London or Rome. RIC assigned them to Lugdunum. Bastien separated these out from the Lugdunum issue and allocated them to an Uncertain continental mint thought to be operating around the time of the British invasion. More recently this has been proposed as being possibly at Boulogne.

For some reason Victor's interesting post is now missing from the thread. When he posted that I was aware that I had the following coin en-route.

Obv:- IMP C DIOCLETIANUS P F AVG, Laureate, bust right
Rev:- GENIO POPV-LI ROMANI, Genius standing left, modius on head, naked but for chlamys over left shoulder, left hand holding cornucopiae and right hand holding patera
Minted in Lugdunum (None). c. A.D. 296

Uncertain continental mint (Boulogne?) operating around the time of the British invasion
