sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 09/02/2012 8:43 pm Fair question, but there is no strict answer to it. A silver dollar measures 38.1 mm, a British Crown 38.5mm. I saw a note in an old Krause catalogue that nominally gave 'Crown' or 'Dollar' sized coins as any coin over 35mm diameter. Obviously, this note would not apply to coins that are a huge amount over, say 40mm. My personal rule of thumb is if the coin cannot fit into the largest hole size of a 2x2, then it is larger than 'crown' or 'dollar' sized.
