Fishnwidow Valued Member United States 228 Posts	Posted 03/19/2007 6:12 pm I have a see threw plastic envelope full of old currency in my saftey deposit box, I was to scared to bring it home and try to photo them because they look so fragile and taking pictures in the bank is a no-no I wrote a few of them down, but not all as I didn't want to touch it very much and they are all in the same envelope. 1843 $2 Detroit $ St.Joseph Railroad Bank State of Michigan 1883 $1 Bank of Washtenaw 1854 $5 Bank of Kent New York Ludingtonville How should I handle old currency? Is taking pictures of it bad for it? (thought I read that somewhere). Should I get holders for each one and get them all out of the same envelope? Fishnwidow Report this Post to the Staff

Are they confererate or just bank notes, is there a name for them where I could look up if they hold any kind of value so I can log them in my coin info log. I wish now I would have just brought them home, but it was a hectic day. I hate driving 50 just to go the bank. I'll share pictures of them soon. Report this Post to the Staff
