Collector-Corner Pillar of the Community 872 Posts	Posted 10/15/2013 1:24 pm I agree looks like it was dipped, and then possibly the area around the date was removed to see it better. It could be post mint damage on the date and mint mark. I have noticed on some coins, while there may be damage on the date, it may have been cause by something way over on the LIBERTY side of the coin. Check the far side of the coin and see if there are any hints of damage near LIBERTY, especially the rim. Report this Post to the Staff
