coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 01/31/2014 03:25 am I don't use a tripod. I hold the camera when I take images. The reason you are getting light at the top and dark at the bottom is that the angle of the coin needs a little adjusting. If you are using a ramp, then place a coin under the back of the ramp to raise if a bit more. I use A half dollar or a quarter at times to get the light evenly across the coin.
