This coin I bought the other day from a little box of coins that my dealer had. I think theyre proofs now that I look at the photo... Howd I do?

The coin can't be a proof ,,its a D mint.

The pics don't look bad they have good detail and are clear enough,, your lighting maybe a little to much to the top and left of the coin ,,what kind of set up do have for lights ?


If you don't have a good set up for lighting try taking the pic outside ,,under a porch or some other cover , that lets the light in but avoids direct sun light.

I agree with trying sunlight and see how it impacts your results. The coins seems to show good detail (good enough to show that finger-print on the reverse :) ).
