Best Way To Store A Coin Collection Of Various Sized Coins

nater New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 07/07/2014 7:26 pm I have an old coin collection that has various different sized coins from Eisenhower dollars to Mercury dimes. They are currently stored in an old shoe box. I would like to put them into some type of holder. Where can I get a holder like this? I was thinking of using this method here... http://www.coinsupplystore.com/blog...coin-albums/ But I read to be careful choosing plastic because it can degrade and stick to your coins. Franklin Collector Valued Member United States 113 Posts	Posted 07/07/2014 7:32 pm to CCF! I store my sets in an album like that and it does not damage the coin. It will eventually tone the coin but it will take a while. For the loose ones I would use 2X2 which are little cardboard holders that have a clear non-coin-damaging plastic. There are some pages that fit in a three ring binder that could be used to hold 2X2's. My local coin shop will sell you a 20 slot page for about 80 cents. Report this Post to the Staff

They come in sizes to fit most coins and then are trimmed to all equal 2x2" square. I have half dollars and dimes stacked together.
