1853 "j H M" Counterstamped Large Cent

That said, they can sometimes be attributed when/if another specimen crops up with more information. ExoGuy Pillar of the Community United States 4421 Posts	Posted 10/18/2014 5:17 pm Here's a counterstamped large cent with but three initials: The W.H.A. was able to be attributed by Dave Bowers, I believe, when the below piece surfaced: William H. Atkins was a clockmaker in Ithaca, NY. In 1854, he and one J.C. Burritt man patented a perpetual calendar clock. It automatically adjusted for the leap years. Report this Post to the Staff
