saw these in a store, worker couldn't answer my question if these were legitimate notes or not - I've never seen "Spielgeld" on other notes of this issue..

Yep; the total value would be 765 DEM = €391.14, about 550 Canadian dollars. How much did the dealer want? ;) Such play money notes would usually be printed on one side only, and/or have a different size ...
