They most certainly are. I believe there's a confirmed quadruple out there somewhere. If I remember right it's on the shield of a seated liberty coin. I think I remember photographing one several years ago.

Interesting unrelated note to tripled dies there are also triple and quadruple re-punched mint marks as well such as a 1955-S/S/S RPM

Jefferson nickels seam to have a bunch of different ones both triple and quadruple die through the years.

my favorite being the 1939P WDDR-007 Jefferson nickel with the quadrupling very visible on it

There is a quadrupled MM in the Mercury dime series. The 1943-s CONECA RPM-001 is an s/s/s/s.
