Looks like it - a strange oxidation pattern. Almost paint-like.

I thought it was strange, so I grabbed it, haha. For $0.05 and all the wheats are unsearched (until I go through them), you can't beat it!

Odd on the high points looking like it's been rubbed off. Very odd...paint/stain like.

That was my initial thought too. Looks like something on (and off) of the coin.
