But you have to be careful, because crud you push around with the thorn could scratch a coin. canadian-varieties Pillar of the Community Canada 1442 Posts	Posted 01/16/2016 01:27 am After cleaning at least 1000 Vickies, I can attest that in about 1-2% of cases, you will scratch the coin with the crud you dislodge. I always do my cleaning under the microscope and it's always painful to see that fresh new scratch, no matter how careful you are. For every 100 varieties I salvage from the ravages of crud, there will be 1-2 that will get damaged..it comes with the territory. Report this Post to the Staff
jjwabraham Valued Member United States 288 Posts	Posted 01/16/2016 09:19 am I can now see some of what you are showing as doubling, but am having difficulty see 3. It seems to require a lot of magnification and that is often a turn-off for some collectors. I personally wouldn't try for a TPG to grade it, but we all have our points of interest, don't we?
