Saw this on ebay. Anyone have any practical experience with this lens as it relates to photographing coins? Pros/cons is using this type of lens?
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Don't know the make. Have a look at the photo of the rear element it looks like there are marks on that element. But its only $35.00 I wouldn't expect wonders from it.

I have sold this lens as part of several setups, with good results. I also included it in my "shootout" of ~100mm lenses. Here's a link to the thread:

The 105mm Tominon ended up in the middle range of quality.

edited to add: The Tominons have M40 mounting threads, so you will also need an M42-M40 adapter.
