Welcome to the 2016 CCF College Football Pick'em Contest!
The contest begins with Week 1 of the season and runs through the Conference Championship games at the end of the season.
This will be a straight up winner pick'em, no point spreads involved, just pick the winner. I'll review the schedule each week and post five games for the contest.
There will be 5 games posted each week. Four regular games, with the fifth being the Game of the Week. Game 5 is a two parter, picking the winner and guessing the total combined score for the game.
*Scoring* Games 1 through 4 will be worth 1 point for each correct pick.
Game 5 will be worth 3 points for a correct pick.
Game 5 Bonus points available for guessing the total combined score for the game.
If you are within 3 points of the total combined score, you will receive 5 bonus points.
If you correctly guess the exact total combined score, you will receive 7 bonus points.
You can still win bonus points for the score even if you get the winner wrong.
The player with the most points at the end of the season wins!
In the event of a tie at the end of the season, winner will be determined by the number of Game of the Week's correctly picked. So make sure to have your picks in on time.
*Submitting Your picks* Games will be posted in the following format, visiting team on the left and the home team on the right. I will make a note if the game is being played at a neutral site.
Game 1 Team A vs Team B Game 2 Team C vs Team D Game 3 Team E vs Team F Game 4 Team G vs Team H *Game 5 Team I vs Team J
Please post your picks in this format to this thread Game 1 A Game 2 D Game 3 E Game 4 G Game 5 J, 45 total points
*Pick Deadline* With more and more games being played during weeknights, the deadline for having picks in will differ week to week depending on weeknight games being included.
If all 5 games are on a Saturday then the deadline will be Friday at 9pm *Forum Time. The forum clock can be found in the upper right hand corner of the Coin Community website. *Please note that Forum time is set to east coast time, so plan accordingly when entering your picks.
In the event a weekday game is in play, the deadline for picks will be 3 pm forum time the day of the first game.
When I post the games, I will set the deadline for the picks to be submitted by.
*Last Chance Deadline* If you miss the deadline for the picks, but can get them in within a reasonable time before the first game starts; games 1-4 will still count however you will be ineligible for Game 5 and potential bonus points. If the first game is on a Saturday, no later than midnight forum time on Friday evening. If the first game is on a weekday, then no later than 5pm forum time the day of the first game.
If you fail to get your picks in for the week, you won't be eliminated from the contest but it will make it harder to stay in contention.
*Rules* By joining this contest, you agree to send a prize of your choice to the winner.
Picks submitted after the Last Chance Deadline will not be counted.
Picks cannot be edited after the start of the first game, or you will be disqualified from the contest. *Forum Time. Still taking players, as long as you have at least 50 posts. Only have myself and YNumismetals Collector at the moment. Need a few more to run the contest.
Looking for 8 more at the most.
Post here if you want in.
