pendrak Valued Member United States 253 Posts	Posted 03/23/2017 10:49 pm Hi Guys- I found this in a Roman lot and think it might be some type of Crusader coin. There is not much detail so this might be a long shot. It looks billon but probably has very little silver content. It is very thin and measures 15mm. It weighs 0.7 grams. Any help appreciated. In Malloy's Coins of the Crusader States, mention is made of multiple variants of this type, some with crescents or pellets in the corners of the cross and others with Genoese towers with three, four, or five crenelations. I'm pretty sure that the coins of Bohemond IV always have those crescents in the corners of the cross (unlike the OP's coin). @pendrak, nice coin!
