1999-P Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC - Lots Of Die Gouges?

chuckster 125 Pillar of the Community United States 4113 Posts	Posted 04/21/2008 11:50 pm Please look at these pics- the L in Liberty & all the Die Gouges? on the Reverse- They start at the top by the letters "TES OF A" and go down near the T in Cent- also they go right through the spaces in the columns 11,12- (right columns). Curious, if these are die gouges, is this rare for that many to be on a cent? I agree- you cannot see them just looking at the reverse from a distance, but up close- they are on the coin. There are gouges all over the right side of the reverse of the coin- maybe my pics are not clear/close enough to see from far away, but they are there, even under a 5X lens- I'll try to post closer pics later today. Pics 5,6 &7 are taken upsidedown for a different view etc. Die Striations?/ or Die Gouges? Some of these lines seem too big to be a striations. Comments/opinions are welcomed.
