Why are the Britannia silver proof coins so expensive ($100+) compared to American Silver Eagle proofs (~$53) and Chinese panda proofs (~$33)? I would like to collect as many world silver proof coins as possible, including a Britannia, but I don't understand the premium.

hi, I collect britannias, proofs and bullion coins, I think the reason britannia proofs are alot more in price is because of the very low limited mintages, the silver eagle proofs have high mintages , were as britannia proofs are a very low mintage, just IMHO.

That makes perfect sense. The law of supply and demand. Thank you.
