Please diagnose. It looks like a "D" south of liberty. Could this be a misplaced mintmark? If that is even possible to happen? If not, could this be due to a clashed die?Thanks!

That is not due to a misplaced mintmark. Other than that, I can't really tell without closer pics of it.

It is an illusion. There is a name for seeing such things,but I forget what it is called...starts with the letter P.

It's called Pareidolia. What you have here is actually a normal 1950 Philadelphia Lincoln Wheat cent.
