1981 Copper Plated Zinc Penny? - Coin Community Forum

Tanman2001 Pillar of the Community United States 4408 Posts	Posted 12/17/2018 8:55 pm to the forum! Even if it was copper plated zinc, it should weigh more than 2 grams. 2.5g to be exact. Also, I don't believe it is possible to accurately tell if a coin is plated or not using only magnification. Are you sure your scale is calibrated correctly, and can you post a picture of it on the scale with the weight? Report this Post to the Staff
