Hello, is there any way to tell whether a threepence coin minted 1845 to 1920 is from a Maundy set or just a regular circulation? thanks

I think it's hard to tell but the Maundy ones have a nicer finish and are generally better struck and sharper than the circulation coins.

Often the 3d is missing from Maundy sets...spent.
Hence a circulated Maundy coin and the 3d circulation coin blend into one.
