Victorian card counters. They come in quite a few varieties, not all of which feature Queen Victoria. From memory, one of the nicer ones has a rose on the reverse. Also "I quote Hoyle" appears on one of the scarcer varieties. Value? £1-£7

They were used as card counters for keeping score while playing the card game whist. There isn't an up to date listing of them, just several draft copies of individuals own holdings, but there is a recent catalogue for the related To Hanover and Prince of Wales pieces. It is To Hanover & Prince of Wales Counters (A checklist of Imitation Sovereigns and their Fractions) by Martin R Warburton and W Bryce Neilson. It was published by Galata in 2014.
