long shot I know but could any-one identify this what it looks like Token coin, with a hexigon shape within the coin and what looks like the writing sonish? at the bottom?

It almost looks like iron. Any idea of the composition?

It has the look of an iron notgeld coin from the post-WW I era. Especially if it had been buried, it would be quite corroded.

I was thinking it might say WIESBADEN at the bottom, but cannot find a match.
I also could not find a match for SOEST which issued these types.

Maybe someone with deeper knowledge of these types could find a match.

Would there be any harm at this point in getting the token wet? It may bring out some of the now unreadable text.

Here I was thinking a train ran over a Canadian token or cent. I thought I could see CANADA at the bottom.
I see a pentagon now.
