1973 Oklahoma Bicentennial Medallion (Lincoln Mint?) Information?

Most were made in both copper and silver They pop up on ebay now and then. Check sold listings for more information and values. Report this Post to the Staff

westernsky Pillar of the Community United States 7656 Posts	Posted 06/24/2019 12:34 am This medal has a date of November 11, 1012 on it which is the date that Vikings were maybe hanging around Heavener, Oklahoma. They supposedly left archeological evidence chiseled into rock outcroppings as evidence of their exploration of southeast Oklahoma. (There is a whole page devoted to this on an Oklahoma Historical site web page! Just search "Heavener Runestone") It somehow made it on to the Oklahoma Bicentennial medal, so I guess it has to be true! Edited by westernsky 06/24/2019 12:40 am Report this Post to the Staff
