About two months ago I was (bored) checking out some offerings on ebay, and saw a beautiful 1872-H Newfoundland large cent. It was obviously uncirculated, so I placed a $125.00 bid ont. It had a slight fingerprint on the obverse, but I still liked it (most of it easily came off with a very light application of pure acetone). I sent it to ICCS (with other coins), and it came back MS65 red. Notice the off center doubling on the date. nice.
A coin from the Heaton Horde... for type set collectors, this one is the easiest Victorian NFLD cent to find in gem mint state condition.
Nice find, thanks for sharing.
