I am trying to figure out what is going on with Abe's hair on this coin. It looks like he has 2 leaf shapes in his hair. I suspect the actual shape is coincidental, but I am not sure what caused this. Is it from die cracks?

There is also a Cud on the 1. I suspect this is from a die break? Any help identifying (or debunking as PMD) these errors is appreciated.

I think I put this one in the wrong forum. I meant to hit the modern V&E forum. If someone could move it, that would be great! Thanks and apologies!

Not a Cud, but a die chip.

Thanks, Coinfrog. Any comment on his hair? Am I imagining the 2 leaf shapes?

Also looks like a so-called "crack skull".

All events that happen to this die, I call die events. The die originally was a new at one time. Now die events have reduced the condition of the die to look like this example as the die ages. Just a later die state event cause the coin to look like that until the die was retired years ago.
