1945 Lincoln Wheat Cent, Struck Thru Or Post-Mint Damage?

chuckster 125 Pillar of the Community United States 4113 Posts	Posted 09/27/2008 12:33 am 45 Wheatback- missing the LIB in Liberty on the Obv, and part of the ONE on the Reverse. Struck thru grease etc or post-mint damage? The picture showing the bottom on the Obverse has got me uncertain. I'm leaning toward post-mint damage, but not sure . Report this Post to the Staff

coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 09/27/2008 4:53 pm I believe a tapered planchet - Right thickness on the right side, too thin on the left side. A couple of bucks worth in that grade. In BU it would have been a $10-$15 error. Report this Post to the Staff
