My Wheat Penny Sticks To Magnet But Too Rusted To See The Date

Pennyhoarder3 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 02/04/2020 02:14 am I have a rusted Wheat penny that sticks to my magnet but it's too rusted to see the date even under my magnifier. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/04/2020 11:47 am Weight for your coin should be in the 2.7gram range. Higher or lower, will probably not be a steel coin. When I say attracted to a magnet, I mean it should leap from the surface it sits on to the magnet if it is steel. If you have a steel washer, you can test to out to see the attraction I'm talking about. It should leap. Try it and you will see what I mean. Report this Post to the Staff
