came across this CRH, very difficult on to spot but matches all the die markers.

Fantastic find. Much less talked about than the DDR-001, but an extremely strong doubled die in its own right!

It's got a very nice color to it I would say NO on the bath. Try some hot water and a LIGHT scrub with a Q-tip. I think Acetone would mess with the color to much If you soaked it. Perhaps try a LIL Acetone on a Q-Tip and LIGHTLY brush the spots BUT it's your coin Do as you wish Good luck. OR just let it be what it is...

Looks like the Stage 'C' of 1983 DDR-002. Seeing your images showed me a new marker for that die stage. Note the left base? Can you see the strong die scratch thought that area?

Look for that for that die stage.

That's a beauty. These are fairly strong DDRs that are a real bugger to spot. Kudos.

Congrats on a great find.

If you get a minute, could I please see a couple pictures of the doubling, compared to a normal reverse of 1983?

I've been trying to understand exactly how much thicker it looks, but I don't have a doubled coin to match anything to.

I might have seen one that looks like the ONE, from a different year, but I keep thinking my coins are MD (which they probably are) since they're worn and I'm still learning.

Grelko even though this one is much weaker than DDR-001, it will jump out at you still under a loupe.
