There is no way I could see an overdate from that far away.
JAB, can you scan the coin? The program that scans it should be able to be adjusted so you can get a closer picture to the area where the date is.

Hi JAB! While unsure, I seem to recall somebody showed me a 1933 1/2d with the overdate.
So I took a stab on your coin with photoshop and resolved these details:

1933-Halfpenny-Overdate?

I think it's easy to see the last 3 in the date has a longer downstroke than the first 3.
I've seen this on many 1933 pennies, which I'm guessing is due to the last digit being punched into the die with a different 3--can anyone confirm here?
So I suspect that's what is happening with your coin, unless it actually looks more like this (This is the 1933/2 1d):

1933-Halfpenny-Overdate?

Here the narrower stroke for the 2 is obviously extending below the 3. Someone has described it as a "fingernail".
There will also be evidence of the underlying 2 protruding from the right side of the 3.

Ok my three in that doesn not look like a fingernail at all.. :( It looks like a stub LOL...

To Tracy... I'm not sure how to do high-res scans, but if I zoom in quality always decreases.. :( Besides.. I don't think this crappy printer can do a high res.. lol

PS: This coin is a ripper.. :) Its a niceeeee unc in my opinion.. Do you think submitting to pcgs is a good idea? :D

Actually I think it might be a high AUNC or low UNC.. lol..
