This coin weighs 5.0 grams, shouldn't it weigh more?

5g is the usual weight, striking a coin does not change its weight

5 grams of metal before the strike, after still 5 grams. Nothing is added to the planchet and the strike added nothing. So that is what an off center will weigh.
