I first post this type in first part of last year ( seems like just the other day ) I have found 4 now. Curious has anyone else find one? Looks like maybe a string. Maybe from a cleaning cloth at mint?
Sometimes only certain areas get delivered a certain die examples. They will find a lot of them, other areas will find none. Just depends on where the die examples were shipped.
Coop. Do you mean where the finished coin was sent? The first one I lived in Vegas the last 3 here in Idaho. I'm setting here trying to picture of what Numisma said. The object in the ear is raised. So does that mean something damaged the die? Now coins struck after that does the planchet fill the (void?). So is what I have is that considered ( struck through)?Lol does that makes sense?
